2ND ANNIVERSARY VISUALS - maricxsmaricxs

MARICXS is an artistic collective, a “LGBTQ+ techno, pervy & loving party” and music label based in Barcelona, but its parties travelled all around Europe. Gina (@gaguasch), Elo (@eloblitzer) and ISA (@bellasalmonella) are the founders. Graphic design, communication and music converged creating (in my opinion) the best monthly party in my city. A safe space for the queer community where anyone is totally free from prejudice.
For its 2nd anniversary i was called along with other artists, designers and musicians to make my contribution and I did the visuals that looped all night long behind the different dj’s that played that night.

Maricas was born in January 2018 due to several discussions about the lack of a night-out in Barcelona that combined electronic music and the queer scene. If we look back on history, the techno rave community started with the help of the LGBTQ+ misfits of the 80s. Both communities have very similar values, freedom, youth and underground culture. Our home is Barcelona, but we aim to take Maricas all over the globe.
